ScriptNow.io (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy of both our business customers (e-commerce retailers) and the end consumers who interact with our technology. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard data, and details the strict boundaries we maintain to protect Personal Health Information (PHI).
By visiting our website, installing the ScriptNow.io widget, or using our services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. THE SCRIPTNOW.IO PRIVACY FIREWALL (CRITICAL REGULATORY NOTICE)
ScriptNow.io is a business-to-business (B2B) e-commerce software provider. We are not a healthcare provider and do not collect, view, or store Personal Health Information (PHI) or medical intake data on our servers.
The Secure Hand-off: When an end consumer interacts with the ScriptNow.io checkout widget to request a medical assessment, all health-related data, clinical inputs, and medical service payments are securely and directly routed to Vantage Providers
Network—a legally separate clinical network operating on an independent, fully compliant, and secure Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
Data Isolation: No medical intake data, clinical notes, or specific prescription fulfillment information is ever shared with ScriptNow.io or the e-commerce retailer.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT FROM B2B CLIENTS (RETAILERS)
If you are an e-commerce retailer subscribing to the ScriptNow.io platform via Shopify, we collect the necessary business data required to manage your account and billing:
Account Information: Business name, owner's name, store URL, email address, and phone number.
Billing Data: Credit card or banking information processed securely through Shopify’s billing system.
Usage Analytics: Aggregated, non-identifiable data regarding how often the widget is initiated and completed on your storefront (used strictly for your merchant dashboard metrics).
3. INFORMATION WE COLLECT FROM WEB USERS & CONSUMERS
When an end consumer visits a partner retail store and engages with the ScriptNow.io widget, our data collection is strictly minimal to facilitate the software hand-off:
Interaction Logs: We track that a session has been initiated to route the user to the medical network portal cleanly.
Device & Technical Data: Basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, and device type, used solely for security, fraud prevention, and ensuring the widget renders correctly on mobile or desktop devices.
No Marketing Tracking on Patients: We do not drop tracking pixels or use behavioral cookies to retarget consumers based on their interaction with the medical assessment widget.
4. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use the limited data we collect exclusively to:
Provide, maintain, and optimize the ScriptNow.io software widget and merchant portal.
Process monthly merchant subscription transactions via Shopify.
Provide technical troubleshooting and customer support to our retail clients.
Detect, prevent, and mitigate security threats or technical fraud.
5. DATA SHARING AND BOUNDARIES
With Retailers: We provide retailers with zero access to consumer personal data or medical outcomes. Retailers only see basic, aggregated numbers (e.g., "The widget was used 45 times this month").
With Third Parties: We do not sell, rent, or trade any merchant or consumer data to third-party marketers or advertisers. Data is only shared with essential backend service infrastructure (like Shopify for billing) required to run the software service.
Legal Compliance: We may disclose information only if strictly required to do so by law or in response to valid legal requests by public authorities (e.g., a court order).
6. DATA SECURITY
We employ industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect account data. However, please note that no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. Because we do not store high-risk personal health records or financial data on our software databases, the risk of data exposure is heavily mitigated.
7. YOUR DATA RIGHTS (PIPEDA & PROVINCIAL COMPLIANCE)
Depending on your location, you have the right to access, correct, or request the deletion of the limited corporate or personal account data we hold. Because we do not hold or control your medical records, any requests regarding health data or clinical files must be directed to the independent clinical entity, Vantage Providers Network.
